For Freedoms: A Campus Conversation

What does freedom of expression look like in 2018? Sheldon Museum of Art is hosting a campus conversation with artist Eric Gottesman, cofounder of the For Freedoms Federation. Following a discussion on how art has been used as a vehicle for social change, you can participate in a poster-making workshop where you’ll be able to craft your message to the world.

Photographers John Divola and Anthony Hernandez will discuss their shared interest in depicting remote and abandoned spaces in pursuit of the contemporary landscape. Toby Jurovics, Joslyn Art Museum’s Chief Curator and Richard & Mary Holland Curator of American Western Art, will act as moderator.
